Pat McGoey: Impasto, Palette Knife Painter

Pat McGoey has been painting since the late 90's. His early working years in book publishing and magazines plus graphic arts, gave him an eye for art. He has trained in colour and composition. Pat has a love of the outdoors. Most summer holidays, over the past 30 years, were spent canoeing in Northern Ontario and British Columbia. Many of his painting are from Algonquin Park.

Over the years Pat has taken several courses at Sheridan College and Visual Arts Mississauga, where he is a member. Today, Pat is a member of Springbank Artists. The group is made up of 15 artists, who paint together and host an annual show. He has had several group and solo shows.
