Title: An Afternoon on the Trail, 24 x 30, Acrylic

The Culham Trail Challenge was just up my alley artisically. Landscapes are my favourite subject and I love a path. It is said that female artists like to paint subjects that tell a story, especially if the work has a visual way to enter the picture. Of course a trail fits that description perfectly. And I have spent many mornings walking parts of the Culham Trail with a good friend and her dog.

The Challenge
I was quite excited to participate in the Culham Trail Challenge for several reasons. First of all, my husband and I have enjoyed walking several parts of this trail over the years, mostly during the fall season when the forests are ablaze with colour. The Culham Trail challenge in which some of our group is presently participating, is quite unique. Not only are we painting landscapes in our individual style, but we are also promoting the kids at Erinoaks through a successful silent auction.
